About Small Pond:

Small Pond Entertainment provides educational opportunities and a range of services for high school and university students as well as for professionals in the performing arts. By providing administrative, marketing, managerial, and producing support and education we hope to equip artists with the basic operating tools they need to function as business-conscious members of the performing arts community. Through our services, we hope to shape a new generation of playwrights, filmmakers, actors, directors, dancers, designers, etc. who can efficiently and creatively showcase their work to the Manhattan Independent Theatre community, regardless of their age or experience.

Our Mission:

Small Pond Entertainment is an arts organization that seeks to educate performing artists about the business of a production from development to performance. Through experiential learning, students and artists will work side by side with trained professionals who will guide them through the process of managing and producing a production. The goal is to develop self-sufficient, business-conscious artists.

Our Vision:

Through educational initiatives including internships, student and community outreach programs, and resource sharing, Small Pond Entertainment can bring students and professionals together in a mutually beneficial relationship. Providing accessible programs that benefit both audience members and professional artists allows for a confidence behind the art. We hope to create a community of all ages and experiences that shares an understanding and appreciation for the managers and producers that form the foundation and framework of a production.
